Matt Podd is a pianist, composer, arranger, and music director based in Brooklyn, NY. His devotion to craft and creativity shine in all of his music making, whether on-stage, or behind the scenes. Matt brings a joyful intensity to his music, specializing in jazz/blues, gospel, and groove. As both an improviser and classically-trained musician, Matt remains in demand as an active performer and collaborator with singers, musicians, and ensembles of all kinds. He has appeared with some of New York City's finest musicians at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Town Hall, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Symphony Space.

 

Matt Podd has worked on stage and behind the scenes as an arranger and orchestrator for such world-class acts as Jason Mraz, Barbra Streisand, Dave Matthews, Darlene Love, The Boston Pops, The New York Pops, The National Symphony Orchestra, Reneé Fleming, Joshua Bell, Jason Robert Brown, Gregory Porter, Sy Smith, Darren Criss, Stephanie J. Block, Brian D'arcy James, the Young People's Chorus of NYC, Time for Three, and many other artists, choirs, and ensembles.
