The New York Pops with Jeremy Jordan

I’m excited to be working behind the scenes again on the season opener concert with the New York Pops, coming up on October 18th. This concert is featuring a colleague of mine from my undergraduate days at Ithaca College, Jeremy Jordan. Working as an orchestrator has gotten me “in the room” with so many mega-talented musicians, from the stars and celebrities that sing with the orchestra, to the world-class members of the orchestra themselves. I’ve worked on dozens of these concerts now, and if I’m being honest, I still get excited to meet “the talent.” The fact that the star of this concert is Jeremy Jordan, my former classmate, makes it all the more satisfying. I’m forever fascinated by the paths that all my colleagues and other artistic professionals carve out for themselves, and these two Ithaca grads will be crossing path’s for a few moments at the one and only Carnegie Hall next week. This career, and this city have a very magical way of connecting people in the biggest and smallest ways.
